College Life: Where to shop for your college living space

The Run Down

Hey guys! Welcome back to another blog post. Recently, I have been obsessed with interior design and have probably binged the entire Youtube makeover series from Mr. Kate over the summer. Personally, it’s always been fun decorating and putting together a cohesive look for my dorm rooms over the past 5 years - so I think I’ve always had a niche for interior design! This year, I will be officially moving out of dorms and into my very first apartment! This is VERY exciting, but also a little bit of a challenge when it comes to buying furniture. I wanted to write a post sharing some of my favorite places to find the best deals on college living essentials!

Where I Like to Shop

In the past when shopping for my dorm, I would usually buy headboards, rugs, and sometimes decor at Wayfair.com. I think this is a great place to shop when you’re balling on a budget, BUT- it’s probably not the best option when you don’t know exactly what you’re shopping for. Like most other big retailers like Wayfair.com, it’s difficult to shop when you don’t know what you’re shopping for- go at it with a set plan on what you need to get to avoid confusion and being overwhelmed.

Wayfair Picks

When it comes to decor, bath necessities, and kitchen needs, I love to shop from Target.com! This is THE place to shop for modern, boho, and traditional styles. Their website is very easy to use as well and their categorization is on point! It’s great for dorm & apartment shopping as it has sections to shop from! Personally, I have a boho/eclectic style when it comes to interior design and Target.com really hits the spot. I love their wall art, candles, pillows, as well as their bedding collections! If you’re looking to stock up your kitchen, they have a big selection of silverware and glassware for a very good price.
